Orion SafetyLane® is a cross-platform mobile application that provides a secure, self-service digital dashboard for managing vehicle safety lane checks in compliance with USDoT and corporate inspection regulations. The Safety Lane inspection involves breaking the process down into key categories: documentation, the walk-around, and mechanical/safety systems.
It is typically conducted when a vehicle returns to the yard from either a daily or Over-the-Road manifest delivery. The goal is to ensure commercial vehicles and their trailers or containers are roadworthy.
Orion SafetyLane® provides a vehicle or container specific checklist used by inspectors. It includes visible and operational functional checks of critical mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, cooling systems, and other systems appropriate to the vehicle, operating environment, and delivery specifications.
As issues are uncovered, a description is entered into Orion SafetyLane® along with photographs. This information is instantaneously available to vested parties such as mechanics for timely corrective action.
